Something different for the mini event calendar this year was a day trip to the Isle of Wight, put on by Red Funnel Ferries. With a return day ticket for £10 including the car and all passengers it proved very popular. It also made for a specatular sight seeing the 10.30 ferry completely full of minis in a Tetris like fashion.
With over 150 minis ascending onto the isle of wight, and the locals watching the disembarkment, we were free to roam the island, driving around some lovely roads, flashing and waving at all the other minis, and seeing what the island had to offer.
At 4pm we made our way to the meet at Compton Farm, and parked up in a field with a beer garden, BBQ tent, DJs and more. There was a show and shine taking place with some great prizes on offer, and a chance to choose your favourite car of the day.
We can only hope this becomes an annual event in the mini calendar, it truly was a great day, with great weather included as a bonus.
